Lol, I'll bet I'm a bigger cheap *** than you. Everything on my car came from Craigslist or swap meets. I'm so cheap, the only new parts I've ever bought for my car were brake pads, and even that was a struggle.

As for you 60ft, practice, practice, practice. After I did the T5 swap, my first track outing got me a 1.9 , down from 2.2 with the auto. Then a 1.8, then a 1.7, playing around with tire pressure, rpm, and clutch release, I've done 1.66 on all stock suspension. Well it is lowered 2". Now I can consistently hit low 1.7's . Get those tires hot, and raise your launch rpm to 3000/3500 to start with and play with the clutch release till it feels like something is gonna break.

-1100 right now... it's been below 0DA here most of the week. On the way to work it's been as low as -1600DA. Car is actually a handful but with a busted transmission it's all a big tease. Wish I could share this crap with you man, I bet you could squeeze a 12 second pass out of this air.

Traction, traction, traction... Lack of it! I don't know what to blame it on but I'm sure it was a combination of too much tire pressure and lack of prep on the track.

We are blessed here really... unless I race on new years day (usually snow on the ground) I bog off the line on street tires. I've watched the track guys leave their shoes behind on the starting line (not kidding).

If you see green you are late. Hint leave on the last yellow. 1.2 light won't beat much

Crash, sorry to hear about the traction. Airing those KDWs down won't do any good. You're just going to have to either back way off and live with leaving easy, or get yourself some DRs. I vote DRs and a 12.9 slip!

Thanks stone. I was thinking the same idea and just ponying up for a dedicated drag tire. Crazy thing is I was leaving from 1500-2000 and slipping the clutch as best as I could. Anything higher than a 2000 launch would result on wheel hop. Thankfully my friend invested in a tire changing machine and offered that when we go to swap out our street tires to drag radials. Kinda made me happy. I'll post my slips soon but they are truly dreadful.
