Here I was thinking there were a number of nice new Camaros rolling around here. Now I see they are V6s, haha.

Edit: Ahh, yes. The standard SS is a silver SS, the SS RS is a red SS, so RS always means V6. I must say, I've heard a few that sound pretty good for a V6.
yeah the RS is probably the most common camaro, I am not sure what it comes with but I know that bigger wheels for sure. Its probably the most common camaro and they are all v6s.

.[/QUOTE] I barely getting use to the mirrors in the 5.0 I only had it for about a month so the distance might have been a bit more I am not too sure now. with my 04 I could pin point the distance right away. I know but there is no point going any faster, it burns too precious fuel!

The RS should be no problem at all. Even an SS you should walk until you get up into the 100s. Especially with their, what is it.. a 4 speed auto? When I first got my car some older dude pulled up to me in an RS. His wife/girlfriend was egging him on.. and he tried to get funny with me. Gave about 3/4s throttle in second.. and just walked away. He wouldn't look at me at the next light and his wife/girl was laughing at him. Kinda felt bad as it still had the dealer badges and I'm sure she was looking for an opportunity to give him a hard time.

RS is an appearance package for V6 & V8 Camaros! You get big wheels and fancy head lights and body colored roof molding. Here's a pic of my wifes 2ss/Rs. A stock 5.0 will curb stomp a V6RS and has a slight advantage against an LS3SS. And a larger advantage against the L99 Automatic tranny SS.

From what I know the regular mustang GT is dead even against the 6 speed Camaro SS. The Faster Mustang is the one with the Track Pack/brembo brakes and the 3.73 gears. Reviews have the track pack at 12.7 while the regular GT between 13-13.2 which is what the SS camaro runs. So my car does have an advantage because of the gear ratios otherwise a race between an SS and a 5.0 is a drivers race. I am yet to race an SS it's the V6s that always want a piece of my car. They probably don't know much about mustangs or even their cars, they just know their v6 camaro is fast and they are decently faster, it's just that 5.0 mustangs are slightly faster.

If I owned a V6 Camaro I'd just know my place and tint my windows so I could pretend I didn't notice other cars if they ever wanted to race. Have you ran your car at a drag strip yet?

I was at the mustang vs camaro shootout at atco last month and every new camaro owner walked around acting like they drove a fast car and ended up running (both the SS & V6 camaros) between 13.8 and 15.5. I drive a pitiful 4 cylinder automatic 2012 altima and I'd put a 100 bucks on a bet that I would beat a new v6 camaro in a race. #pathetic

Default Ford vs Chevy

I've walked several RS Camaro & recently kept up with an SS light to light. All I have are suspension & wheel mods. My 3.7 runs a 14.0 1/4 mile.
