Having owned a 2012 charger R/T, with 370hp and 395lb/tq, a 2007 mustang GT and my 13 5.0, I'd have to say the charger is equivalent to the 05-10 GT in straight line performance, with the charger pulling more up top. While no match, whatsoever, for a coyote, if you slip up with an 05-10 GT, you might just get beat. Despite their mass, they move out pretty damn quick.

uuhh.. WTF? lol

I am all for Charger's and all but no way its gonna win against a 5.0 if he's all stock

I just did a full custom tune on my '13 and it still feels like a mid 13 second car at best a low 13 on a good day. I have AWD which makes it even heavier but great on a launch. I have the 3.06 gears which is better than the dog 2.65 gears.

The RT you're running could a 100 or 150 shot if he knows what he's doing and right at 12.0, I know of a few guys brave enough to do that on another site. I say brave enough because the top ring lands are horribly thin and the pistons suck.

The '12's been out for awhile and there have been great advancements in modding them compared to even a few years ago when Diablo haven't cracked the PCM yet. It's a great platform for monstrous torque and displacement but it takes deep pockets to build one up. I learned my lesson. This time around, I'll be happy with mid 12's full bolt ons, @4589lbs. (4750lbs.w/driver), AWD, full weight, full tank of gas, street tires, street trim, I am happy.

They're not race cars, stock trim, the motors and transmission are locked up pretty tight with programming to keep it all very conservative so people don't kill themselves. I learnt this myself modding my 09 to run high 12's on next to nothing other than reprogramming and modding the transmission and then low 12's with 5 psi supercharged. It also weighed 5000lbs. at that point!

Without knowing too much about the RT, if he's stock and with the 2.65 gears no way he's gonna win. What's up with the mile run? lol after the 1/4 you're just rubbing it in each other's faces.

I raced a 2011 RT against my 5.0 when it was completely bone stock with bald tires. Even with my crappy tires the RT was no match at all, I instantly pulled and pulled and pulled.

You'll easily win, unless he has something done to his car.

Like others have said as long as you don't miss a couple gears and he has a big shot of NOS you should win easily I would think.
