Leaving at idle it would do 1.69-1.75 60s, so with a real set of tires/wheels it's a game changer like you stated. But after that initial weight reduction I ran out of places to drop more without really taking away from the comfort and appearance of the car. A/C is a must have down here with all the heat and rain we get so that was a no go. Power steering delete and A/C delete are good to do IF you do both, but without committing to stripping the car, it's borderline not even worth only doing one or two things. Gotta do it all to be worth it, if that makes sense. So far, I've stayed damn close to stock with the gto. Not sure how long the discipline is going to last though, lol.
Yeah The only easy things to pull are seats/interior really.. carpet, bumper supports, k member, etc.. you can get creative like Hio did too... he has full interior still but took weight out in other ways.

If the car in question has some weight reduction then it might give greddy a run, otherwise this should be an easy win for him IMO

Everyone has a different experience (which I guess was my point)... hell look at me for example... one could look at my setup and advise people not to bother using the same parts because its running like crap.... I can point to other examples where people have similar parts and are running over a second faster ETs and 10mph faster than I am. I have a hard time just discounting someone based on a small sample.

Stone, I can't even spray from a 2nd gear roll with these tires. In fact If it's like 50 out it has broke a little loose in 3rd. I need a better tire bad, but the 555R might be the only thing keeping my 10 bolt alive right now lol.

S8ERO1Z, do you have plans to do more to your ride? I assume the car in your signature is your current ride?

I hear ya, I wouldn't put too much more on that 10 bolt either, especially with those 4.10s and it being a manual. A 9" or 12 bolt is the way to hold it, but those suckers are heavy man.

A true slick would be your best chance of hooking without grenading the rear.

Yeah traction issues are killer... I thought you might have something wrong at first when you said you might get into the 11s. Get some tires man. 😃

At this point I don't know what the plans are... its down like 50rwhp and I still haven't found a cause.. more than likely ill be building a new motor and trying to get the thing running right. Of course right now I have bigger issues to tend to...

Oh damn that sucks lol!! What happened?

BTW, if a certain dyno is saying you're about 50 hp lower than you should be, don't get discouraged right away. Mine reads about 50 hp lower than it should as well, but runs MUCH stronger than what the dyno number is suggesting

Deer ran into me this morning... I missed the buck but the doe hit me from the side... I keep trying to think of what I could have done differently to miss but Im not sure there is anything.

The car is jacked... it's not just the dyno numbers... I can't even put up the track numbers I did when it was bone stock, thats ignoring was it did with just the cam and lid on stock tune.

Before the new short block and longtubes it ran 12.8 @ 110 on a 2.0 60ft... best I could manage last trip out was 13.4 @ 107 on a 2.0 60ft (weather was very close to the same)... it's not knocking or making any noises but part of me wish it would so I can just get it over with.

That looks bad, S8ER. Best thing to do with deer is just slow down as much as you can and drive straight through. Other than that it is what it is, not much you can do man. Hate that for you though bud.Anyway, sounds like something is wrong man. Gotta be something the pcm is doing, maybe? Did anything out of the ordinary show up when they dyno'd it? No codes?

Good kill greddy...

I'm still ruling out things before I have to drop serious cash to replace the pcm. I've flashed it completely though a few times and the no memory/crc issues have occured so I doubt that's it.
