Default Really Frustrated with 1/4 Mile Times - Need Help

Have a 2014 GT Track Pack with Pirelli PZero summer tires, completely stock except for Borla Axle Back. I have been to the track 3 times and have yet to break 13 seconds, with my best time being a 13.1. My goal before I mod this car if to be able to drive it to its potential, so ideally running 12.7-12.9 consistently.

I have tried every piece of advice I have heard/read/watched on Youtube and I can not launch this car for the life of me!!! I have tried various RPMS, no burnout, quick burnout, massive burnout. I just feel like I have no speed coming off the line and even 2nd gear breaks loose sometimes.

I used to have a 2007 GT with only an Intake and Tune and I ran 13.3's all day, so I don't feel I am a terrible driver, I just cant get the feel for this car. I also feel like I have the same issue on the street, meaning that power is almost un-useable in 1st gear because it is such a fine line of just spinning all over the place.

I went last night and these were my numbers from my best run. This was actually with Sport Mode turned on, I usually go with everything off, but thought I would give this a try.

Cecil County, MD - 70 degrees

RT...1.231
60'...2.222
330'...5.852
1/8'...8.748
MPH...84.98
1000...11.220

1/4...13.276
MPH...109.17

I had a few runs that were a little slower but had my trap speed over 110, and the fastest 60' I have had was a few weeks ago and that was a 2.1.

Again, my goal is to drive the car to its potential. I want to improve so I can break 13 on the stock tires like many others have. Any advice/pointers would be greatly appreciated.

What air pressure are your tires? What are your tires exactly?

Lowered the rear tires to 22psi. I have the stock 19 Pirelli Pzero Summer High Performance Tire. 255/40/R19s

record stock run is 12.2@115mph. (next closest is 12.4@111)...

record 4.6L 3valve cai+tune only is something like 12.6... so you are quite a bit off from any kind of record run in either car. It probably isn't all in your launch, but yes, the 2.2 60' is pretty bad.

2.2 sixty is average not horrible. You need to ride the clutch out while depressing the throttle in a controlled manner. (Between 1-2 seconds to full throttle in first). Leave at about 2500-3000RPMs. I have the P-zeros on my Camaro. They seam to like a little heat so a few seconds of burn out couldn't hurt in my opinion. Now's the time to get back to Cecil and keep trying. You wont find a much faster track at this time of the year in the country.

I wouldn't do a long burnout though on street tires. The tires that really benefit from heating up from a long burnout have a different (softer) compound than street tires.
