My question is why would you want to when you could supercharge it and go faster. That's my local track and there is a vortec car trapping 129 on the stock converter.

money wise I guess, easier to piece together parts at a time vs a big *** credit card dept lol.

Just curious of the possibilities.. been out of the Stang scene for awhile. I like the new Hellcats a lot but way out of my budget

If you can't join 'em, beat 'em!

Well just for the record I think the guy in the video is holding a few things back! He either has more mods then he's admitting to or he's done a F&%k ton of weight reduction because intake tune and exhaust doesn't equal that trap speed in for a 5.0 in my opinion.

Pretty crazy to think it's hitting those traps as well.. checking out a 2012 GT auto for $24k this week

Gears are turning in my head but I am pretty much thinking of stripping it (rear/passenger seat), stall it (3600?) and throw slicks & skinnies on it. Only notable mods would be a BOSS 302 intake manifold, CAI, custom tune, OR pipes with cut outs and straight pipes ( for weight reduction ).

Budget build, nothing too crazy
I just want to bust the doors off of fools at the track this summer and get a little more serious next year.

Been waiting quite some time for a black AUTO 5.0 to pop up, one just did...

Pretty sure the solid beam rear suspension has an advantage over the IDR of the '15's?

Because those **** will be on the sales lot here in a few weeks, I don't think the sales people would appreciate that.
