I completely agree is should be very simple but its been the worst. I started with a nitrous express kit, but per their poor advice I'm ditching their nozzle and will never use their stuff again. This has been going for two years now.

You may recall not last summer but the summer before I was setting my car up for the nitrous. It wasnt until that October I was able to get onto the dyno and try getting it tuned. That tuner said he wont tune home installed nitrous setups but I assured him mine was not rigged. We got it on the dyno and my duty cycle was no good and the car was dropping down to 12psi of fuel pressure and not recovering, it was going lean on a 50 shot even. He says put the SVT focus pump you mentioned prior in it along with a KB BAP and come back. Me and that tuner didnt see eye to eye really, insisted i never use anything but my stock torque converter, I was crazy for my teamz suspension in a street car, my bottle heater and n20 purge wasnt needed on a street car either..... hes a very big name in mustang tuning and seems quite knowledgeable. But we just arent on the same page. He sent me off with approx a 25 shot tune and a motor tune expecting id be back.

So that winter I start collecting parts, fuel and everything to do a nice 31 spline axle setup with 4.10s. Spring comes and goes, I'm being lazy and hadnt put my new pump in yet, was too busy out racing last summer was the most action ive seen since ive had this car. Finally get the pump in and decided I was gonna have the axle done by the guy I was going to have fix my tune. Myself and TCstanger actually dynoed the same day at the same place thats when we had met which was cool.

So we get my car on there and right away running the car NA on both tunes hes like wow these tunes are bad. Nitrous tune looked quite off he said and appeared he was trying to add fuel through the fuel system as opposed to bumping me up a fuel jet. So he makes adjustments and gives it a shot. Not good. Same as last year falls right on its face on the hit and goes super lean. wtf right ? Both guys are like I dont know man this is really weird no explanation why. So then hes like it seems like youre spraying through your MAF. Is the nozzle pointed backwards on accident and spraying towards your MAF ? I insisted no, but we took the intake off to make sure. I was in fact not spraying at my MAF but we found the fuel was not leaving my cold air intake, all the fuel was getting trapped in there and never made it to the throttle body. Could literally pour the fuel out of it like it was a cup of gasoline. Hes like man if this had backfired your fender would be gone...

He goes why did you put your nozzle way back here ? I explained what nitrous express explained to me and he just shook his head. So hes like I'd like to see your nozzle up here by your throttle body, but I explained I didnt care for installing it in a soft rubber coupler and he agreed with this. Which is actually why I had the nozzle a couple inches closer than nx had suggested. He mentioned wishing they made plates for the 4V and I was like no just my luck 6 months after buying the nozzle kit they make one. Agreed to just go the plate route and come back to get it fixed. Cool.

So after all this, plus other issues of not standing behind some of their other stuff I went nitrous outlet, even talking about tech info on the phone they just sound much more knowledgeable. So I buy their plate setup over NX's. It arrives as a defective unit with lots of slag in the holes and some discoloration.... So I emailed them some pics and they picked up the phone and called and apologized and got me a call tag and everything taken care of the way I'd expect a company too unlike some previous experiences with NX. Buuut the bad was that was their last plate and so it would be some time for my replacement as it had to be machined. Thus I missed my chance at getting back on the dyno for a retune. So this spring will be season 3 of messing with this god damned nitrous setup....

Mount one by the front tire. I wanna see if you can get that front wheel off the ground with the new mods.

Holy crap man, this has been a hell of a process for you. I think I would've lost my mind by now. Have you been given an ETA on the plate yet?

I'm not glad this happened to you by any means, but it's good to hear these things from people like you so the rest of us can learn from it.

lol the plot thickens, tubular k member, a arms and coil overs are most likely also happening ! Spraying off the line it would be sweet if I could pop them real fast haha.

And stone, I got the replacement plate within a couple weeks of that issue. That was my first purchase with nitrous outlet and I didn't really give any contact info when I sent the pics to them about the defective plate so he had to actually put in some effort to get my phone number and call me which is appreciated, I don't expect anything unreasonable from vendors I thought they handled It well and I'll definitely do business with them in the future. NX on the other hand....

My buddy said I lifted the front driver side tire a good 6 inches when I launched on the spray. That was on a 200 shot. If your lightening up the front end you should be getting close. Craig is going to have the 300 shot come on progressively. Maybe leave off a 150 and go from there.

Yea, I think it could possibly do it with the skinny tires up front but no way with my big street wheels. Honestly just want to finally see it come out hard enough to actually use all the suspension stuff I've done not so much pull tires.
