Default Wanting to Break Into the 10's

I've been out of the loop quite a while, and my knowledge of exactly how to make these things go faster has faded quite a bit. My basic question is this: how do I reliably get into the 10's this summer? Now that I have a better job, I'll be able to afford more engine parts, rather than just cosmetic stuff. I know the easy route is to stick a blower on it, but is that the only way?

A lot more power, good tires, good suspension, an awesome 60ft time through good driving is all you need, piece of cake lol.

Seriously though, find the 1/4 mile calculator on here, I think its in a sticky, and find how much power you need to dip into the 10's. Add about 50 for good measure. Now determine how you want to make that much HP, but a blower/turbo setup will get you there the fastest and cheapest.

Good luck, enjoy the ride to the 10's.

And don't forget, that first 60 ft is the most important on any run.

I ran 10.5 with heads cam & intake. 200 shot of nitrous. I'd turbo for the cheapest, easyest way to break into the 10s.

To be clear, you're wanting to run 10s in a 2006 GT with a manual trans?

your new job most pay well. I just had my motor built and it was just a hair over 10k. Plus all the other **** I have on my car. Your looking at 10 to 15k depending on what you wanna do.

10s with the 06GT? Built motor, supercharger with some serious boost or strong turbo. Gotta have a solid trans, clutch or decent stall and TC if auto. Of course tires and some suspension. On a 11-14 its way easier....roush stage two, auto, TC and tires.
