2013 Mustang GT -Boss intake (Drag Racing)

We'll see how ****ty a little more gear is when my new car shows up. I'm taking bets it'll do 11s with just a tune CAI and a tire. I plan to do a lil testing of my own with the 3.55 gear. We'll see how much it slows me down.

I wonder how well the launch control works in the new 2015's. Looking forward to those time slips. That will be the easiest 11 second runs I have ever heard of. I seen GTR's do that but who cares in a $100k AWD car that practically drives itself lol

Hmm, Well that was some **** to read.. All I can say I will take out of all that is I can see where you both are somewhat right. A stall plus Tall gears will work and help me out allowing me to launch with more power with my tall gears. Also yes If I save up and put better rubber on and Steepen the gears that will help just as well! And as I can tell if I had lots of money was a serious drag racer. I would have a set of Tall and Wide badass Drag radial with a converter and steep Gears! Well I didn't buy the intake I roasted my 245's off so I put some 275's on the back. Also got my Fiberglass hood painted. Next in all honestly I think I am going to put the Street Scene Gen 2 chin spoiler on and then the side skirts also. Thanks guys for all the help

No one is crossing the traps in 5th. The key in these cars with their gearing is crossing in the top of 3rd with a 3.31 gear and a 28" tire. If you want to cross at the top of 4th that requires a 4.30 gear and getting that to hook is pretty much futile. RPM dropoff is dependent on converter which in the case of these cars is the best mod you can do N/A outside of a tune. And even with a centrifugal a converter is really needed.

I can personally vouch for that because in my 08 GT with 4.10's and around 450whp and a 90 octane tune, MT ET Streets 26 inch tall tire off the line it didn't launch so well. The parasitic drain from the blower was so big that it was simply not enough to turn the blower or the sticky *** tires. It desperately needed a 3200 or even 3500 stall... 4.10's didn't do the trick.
