Don't listen to all these blower bigots! lol. Split the difference and go n/a around town and boosted when you want to track it. Nitrous up on the table for consideration.

Interesting idea, honestly I hadn't considered it til your comment. It would be absolutely the cheapest way to change the game. If I am running say 11.5-11.7 @ around 120 now. What will it take to gain a second? also how safe is if for "track use"

The dynamics of adding a power adder are similar no matter what the means. So the more you've rung out of it already the less dramatic a simple or entry level type kit is going to make. I would guess you'll need at least 150 shot. You can of course start lower and work your way up. You'll need to get it dyno tuned for maximum power and safety. Keep in mind that nitrous boosts torque even more than HP but that it drops off as the rpm's rise. So the ability to hook off the line is a big factor in how soon you can engage the kit.
When done right it is as safe any anything else, meaning there is always risk you need to minimize as best as possible. A nitrous tune is a must along with colder plugs. There are a number of other safety related add-ons I would recommend considering. A window switch will give you automated control over when your kit is engage/disengage. A fuel pressure cutoff switch disengages if f/p is too low. A bottle warmer & purge kit along with a good nitrous pressure gauge will let you keep bottle pressure optimized for consistency and safety.
Just got back from vacation now I can start planning what move to make next I have time as he is finishing his Diesel truck first so I might just save and S/C it
If you're running 11.5-11.7@120mph right now, it should be closer than you think or maybe dead even. He might have you on the Trap Speed though, maybe 125-128mph and lower 11's, say 11.1/11.2 ET.
