No more 5.0 truck. It did ok and I really liked it, but I'll go with an ecoboost next time. Not the best at towing, lugged on flat ground in 6th gear with a mere 1500lbs behind it. Eyeing an aluminum 3.5 ecoboost hopefully late next year.

It's a night and day difference. Down pipe was noticeable too. Working towards a GTX2867r turbo now.

For now, Explosive. I'd love a 16 SS or even a 16 F-150 ecoboost (they're running mid 12s tune only with 4x4 crew cabs!).. But since I'm pretty upside down due to trading too soon, I might as well stick with the ST and have some fun with it. I think I've finally figured out the best launch and how to go about getting faster. Still haven't ran a soul with it though! Any idea which turbo your friend went with and who tuned it? Should be quick if tuned well.

From a highway roll i think it would be a good run, from a dig i think I'd have him on motor and spray in 1/8th -he could maybe start catching up in 1/4 but i dunno they're not easy from a dig.

I was out last weekend in my ST and i raced my buddies G8 GT which does 12.80s at about 106 and from a dig i couldnt do anything, from a low roll about halfway through 3rd hed come around me, from about a 45/50 roll itd take him a second to kill my pull, then hed just walk right by me, we ran a ton. On the highway from a 60ish he wouldnt pull on me at all until 95mph then he'd walk right by again. Now from like a 45 roll with me a car ahead he was working to kill the pull and walk around but obviously the car will. He's torn on what to do with it. I'm hoping he builds it the things a neat sleeper he just struggles with the weight of it.

Have you seen this vid? The Z06 is making good power and the ST stay with him. Skip to the 1:00 mark..I think the right turbo and especially tuning is key.
