I found a few nice 2V's but I am gonna pass on them and wait until next year for a clean WRX or even STi when their prices come down a bit more

Surprisingly enough, we get only a foot of snow and like three snow falls per winter since 2011 where we got 134 inches total (!)

Just looking for an excuse for an STi or WRX, so I can point my finger at it and say "look hun, it's AWD. It's safe!" lol

They are fun cars, especially the STI, but their motors are fragile pieces of shot. Those motors blow so easily. I once was looking into buying an 06 and in my search, 80%+ of them had all new shortblocks around 70k miles. Then a thickheaded buddy of mine bought one, threw a cold air intake without a tune on it, and blew the motor within 500 miles. They are cool cars, and absolute monsters in snow but just a nightmare if something goes wrong.

Been a while since I posted. IMO, I wouldn't get a 2v. I would aim for a 04 mach 1 or a early year 3v. I think I recently saw a 3v for sale for like 7900 with less than 100k miles (clean title).

If going the subie route, just save for the STI.

Just my opinion. Get whatever you really like.

WRX/STI prices don't come down much, even with +100k miles. For that 12-20k price tag for a decent one, I agree a Mach would be a better choice, or 3V. They'll run those ETs your looking for with little to nothing done. Definitely get what you want though, subie would be the most fun IMO.

Got back into a sweet lil 3v. 2006 Mustang GT automatic, 3.31 gears. SCTx3 tuner in transit and looking forward to a custom tune!

Sold the Camaro Z28, real nice ride but I didn't want to destroy it with a roll cage due to track regulations at our local track.

Feels good to be back in an S197!!!!

I do enjoy having the Ts off, mines been paid off forever so I’m just keeping the stupid thing. Good luck though with the “new” project. 🙂
