SCT SF3 HELP!
I have the SCt SF3 tuner. I tuned my car whe nI added my JLT CIA and everything was fine. It's a DD so I have been using the 87 octane tune.
I wanted to take her to the track tomorrow so I put 93 octane in the other day and have been waiting to make sure the 87 was out. I checked to make sure that my tuner was up to date and went to plug in the 93 octane tune. I turned the key and it began the steps. As it did that the writing on the screen got lighter and lighter. Soon I couldn't read anything. I waited but was not sure what I was supposed to do. I unplugged it hoping that nothing had happened . . . Now my car won't start and all I can get on the tuner screen is the backlight. I'm freaking out! Please tell me I didn't screw up my car.

I did get it working but I'm still not entirely happy with it. It seems like there is a limited charge in the tuner itself. From the time you start playing with it and looking through the options it it starts draining whatever it is that powers the tuner. So you have to get into the tuner immediately, start flashing the car asap and hope that the power holds until it's finished.
I returned the car to stock, updated the firmware again and then reprogramed with the 93 octane tune and towards the end the screen was starting to fade again.

Well the SCT tuner doesn't have a "charge" it draws it's power from the car solely. Does your car fire up everytime or been having issues with the battery or alternator? If not, I would call SCT tech at 407 774-2447 as sounds like be a defect with the tuner itself.

The reflash was scary as heck the first time. I was a little freaked durring the process. looked like the car was mad.
Glad you got yours up again. you may also call who you purchased the tuner from if you cant get sct on the line in a reasonable timeframe.
