Default slicks and skinnies on the street????????

I also posted this in SS but there is a lot of traffic here...

I have MT skinnies and ET streets (not radial) on weld drag lights... im lined up to race a Vortech Supercharged LT1 tonight and i was debating on putting on these tires... would it be worth my effort? also, these tires are street legal but are still soft sidewall and very soft compound... about how many miles can i expect out of them?
