it may be stuck open?

if it were stuck closed you'd be pegging your gauge and the knock sensor would be pulling timing like a mad dog, been there

also your gauge may be inaccurate, never hurts to throw an autometer in there, i've never had a factory ford gauge work right

Not so much being stuck open, but if the spring inside gets weak, itll just blow open, regardless of what boost is being forced back through the vacume line. Mine was really weak in my car when i bought it, and i saw 5psi of boost. Swapped out the wastegate, and bypassed the BCS, and got 17psi.

Autometer gauges are just like the factory gauges. You get accurate ones, and you get terrible ones.
