Default Soon to be owner, need advice.

Soon to be owner this week of a 2002 v6. I think it has 193 HP stock. I was wondering what options are out there to give me a little HP boost? For starters I was thinking of a dual exhaust system. I love the sound, but would that look ok on this?

What are the cheapest places online to buy them?

Also, would I benefit from getting a CAI as well?

Thanks

It has 190hp and yes it would look great, tommorow if its not raining the whole day from this damn tropical depression, i'll go take pics of my dual exhaust with chrom tips, its looks good trust me. As far as performance exhaust is a good place to start, then a cai and UD pullies. After that you can go into gears and tuners but it starts to get more expensive then, all depends on your budget.

oops didnt see your typing under the pic, yes a cai would benefit you with mostly better throttle response and a slight boost in hp. www.autobadges.com has all your performance parts for great prices, he's one of the sponsors of the site.

My limit is hovering around $500-$600 right now for performance, installation is taken care of. I could spend more, but I was planning on getting some black Bullit rims, unless I stick it out with the factory 16" alloys.

For that budget, CAI, and Underdrive Pulleys are a good start. The CAI is definatly a 1 on the ole install meter of 1-5. 1 being the easiest. In other words, you can definatly save on install labor by doing it yourself.
Dual exhaust is next on the performance level. Personally, I prefer Flowmaster, but you can get Force Flows from Summit racing for like $30.00 each vs like $75.00 each for real Flows. The thing is, they are basically the exact same design for half the $$$$.

Well just do the mods in my sig, just reset them to your year. Yes, that's all the mods minus the GT, that ones all for me.

I'm at Mustangtuning.com now.

They've got MAC Catback with Stainless 3" Tips: $329.50, the MAC CAI from Autobadges for $169.95, and a K&N Filter that usually runs about $45-$60.

Good for starters?

Yep, but don't get that mac cat back, get there V6 h or x pipe and get a set of GT cat backs for your year, because V6 cat backs sound like rice.
