Default New Mustang owner

Hi all! I'm new to the boards i have had my mustang for about two weeks now. I have a 2004 V6 with the pony package looks like a GT kind of cool but no power. the car is starting to grow on me because it looks really good. I keep tryin to drive it like my old car 04 Dodge Neon SRT-4 moded to the gills. any way i had a few questions. I have been looking around this sight for the past few days and can't find what i'm looking for.
1. what is the stock HP ratings for this car?
2. What does the pony package consist of other than aperance?
3. What are the known problems with the car?
4. what is the true Red line of the car?
5. If i start moding the car what can i expect in trems of gains?
6. How long can i expect this car to last? I have no plans to be out racing like i did with my SRT.

dude no offence, but wtf. you traded in ur srt -4 for a v6? why, im just asking?

the v6s have 193 hp and like 225 tq. in a car that weighs almost 3200 lbs, its maybe a 15 sec car. you easily had a low 14 sec car with the neon. i think the pony package is the hood scoop, the mustang bumper inserts and the interior is dressed up a bit more fancier. so far, the 3.8 (or 3.9) engine past like 96 hasnt had any real problems. these cars are hella reliable. and not bad at all. i dont know about the redline since i have an automatic, but these cars should last a good ten years or so. but really, the only way your gonna get some REAL power is to turbocharge or supercharge it. that and get some nice 4.10's.

just curious, have you driven the car yet from the srt4?

Trust me if i didn't have to give up my SRt i wouldn't have. SRT payment 513 a month mustang payment 300 a month srt as she was 12.3 1/4 and just shy of 300 WHP. trust me i'm not a happy camper... but i had to do what i had to do.

Bankruptcy will do that to ya. Or was it the cheating woman i was married too. your call..

ahhh...gotcha. well if your too poor to afford it yeah i can see why. but yeah as i said, start out with basic mods, such as a cai, flow 40's exhaust, 4.10 gears w/ t-lok. then suspension work, then s/c or turbo

redline is 5400, rev limiter is 5800, can easily handel 6100 rpms though, power is 193HP/225ft.lbs and is a high 15 second car, pony package is a hood and side scope, side "mustang" stripe, and i think some had the bumper inserts

Nope...no stripe. The pony package consists of, GT hood scoop, side scoops, rocker skirts, rear wing, "running ponies" sticker on each side, Mustang inserts on the rear bumper.
And the redline on my 03 was 5800 rpm, but the engine can safely be revved to 6500 RPM. I had the rev limiter set to 6250 RPM. ANd hit it often.

That may have been dealer added to fake a pony package. The pony package was highlighted by the running ponies sticker. Hence, the pony package.
