Just buy and old 5.0. It's way cheaper to fix an old 5.0 than to convert an I-4 or V6 into a 5.0L.

its just as cheap to build the 3.8 as the 5.0 though

Yea, but the 5.0L is way faster stock and responds much better to mods than the 3.8L.

OK, for my year it's way faster, against a great driver in an edge V6 it's a little faster, and for a new sn197 it's a hair bit faster. But point is, the 5.0 will yeild much more performance per mod than the 3.8L, plain and simple.

or the easiest, cheapest and FASTEST would be the 2.3T

if you have V8 questions, ask them on the V8 forum

and high 14s-low 16's is a HUGE differnce

Yea, I agree, the 351 Cobra Rs weren't that much faster than the standard Cobras, plus add in the fact that they costed way more, and don't have a lot of mod options for them, they are really more of a collectors item than a serious fast car.
