anyone know the front to back weight distribution on an 02 3.8 mustang? i've looked everywhere and i can't find the numbers for it

If I had to guess I'd go with around 60/40 considering that's what the braking distribution is. Why did you want to know?

my guess would be suspension fine tuning, thats what most weight distrubution info is for. sounds like he is a racer maybe.

'fraid not speedy, i'm just looking ahead to winter and wondering how much weight its going to take to make it handle a little bit better in the snow, or if i ought to just trade it in. ain't got the $$$$$ for racing yet and if i did i'd get something bigger than a 3.8 ya know?

all u need for winter is one sandbag. just one makes alot of diff. 2 is even better one over each tire well in the back. as for ya know bout something bigger, no i really don't, sometimes more horse aint always better if u can't get it to the track and hook it up good.

Weight distribution isn't as important as traction in the snow, get a couple of the tube sands for the trunk. I've driven mine for a few winters cause I havn't had anything and it can be done if you know your car. Havn't really had any close calls or anything, just have to have a good set of winter tires. You're v6 has to be a lot better then mine.

try an 88 2.3L with bald tires, WWOOOO that was an intersting first winter drive ever. my first winter driving bald tired, rear wheel drive, no weight. YA alot of close calls. i reached a dead stop at a stop sign with a friend in our small town where they don't plow the roads, so the snow gets packed down, i dropped it into first gear, dumped the clutch, floored it, shifted to 2nd then to 3rd and 4th gear, finally hit 5th gear in seconds, looked around and my car didn't move one bit. pretty sad to reach 5th gear and not moved ne where. plus the run in with the median and the corn field doin 70mph, ok that one was my own stupidity gettin to me.

as far as the rest, i don't have a problem once i'm on the road, its starting from a dead stop that can be a bugger, even with 100lbs in the truck like i had last year. i'm going to get new tires for sure, but i just want to make sure i got the problem taken care of, i got an auto and i'd rather not have to redo the tranny if i don't have to.

Yea, sometimes with snow I have to start in second even with snow tires. I just look at it as a challange[8D]
