With a good driver I bet the six could win even though its a vert.

if the GT is bone stock, that v6 may very well beat it. not a MURDER though, but a kill is a kill, right?

the only "mod" the 5.0 has is an "E bay" CAI. I would think that the 302's tq would help it out big time. My money was on the 5.0, but after listening to you guys this sounds like it could get pretty interesting.

First off, the sn95 5.0ls are just as fast as the old foxes, a really good driver could put both a fox and an sn95 manual 5.0L in the mid 14s in the 1/4, however, the autos are serious dogs, like really bad, like 15.3-15.8s bad. His torque advantage will give hime a slight edge, but with the sixer having all that work, I doubt the GT will stand much of a chance.

ORIGINAL: stanggang1892

My buddy brought his V6 up to school and we were headed to the track today but we got rained out. Its a 99 V6 5sp with a CAI, Predator tuner, short throw shifter, 8.8 rear end with 3.73 gears. Heres the "slow down" part... its a vert and has a Saleen body kit with a "mach 2" hood. Not sure if the body kit and hood hurt or help. I am just wondering what u guys think a good 1/8th time would be for this. We were going to match him up with my friends 95 GT 5.0 Auto (stock) and see what happened. Guess we will have to wait till next tues
my money is on the sixer by 3 lengths

If the sixer is a great diver I'm gonna say he's gonna win an imaginary 1/4 mile race by about 1s. If he's decent, then around .5s, if he's just half ***, then it could be close, but he'll still probably win.
