2002 mustang v6 to v8 swap ?'s

Holy thread from 2006 Batman!
There are a few threads about the 4.6L swap. In the end, unless you have a wrekced 4.6L Mustang to pull from, and you are doing the work yourself - it will cost you more to swap than to mod the V6 to the same power level.

lol just got the car, traded my 96 ram ext short bed with suped up 5.2 for it, im only 17 so my options were limited when i started but yeah im good with my hands and in the end that is really all that matters but i just want someone to tell me all that needs to be replaced to go to the gt, i wouldnt think that much because most of the cars are the same they usually fit them for both engines and just plug in which ever is bought, it is cheaper that way and then they just slap the gt symbols on it and a new hood and boom gt the price goes up 10k im mostly into older cars that all that bull doesnt exist but all not running aside i have grown attached to my 02 stang

Ok...I'll put this as simple as possible....the only thing that's the same between a V6 and a GT is the basic body and interior layout...The GT uses a different ECU, different shocks/struts, different rear end, different drive shaft, different bellhousings (in some cases) different radiators, completely different wiring harnesses, different dash gauges, that's just to name the big ones.
The only years I'd say it would be justifiable to do a V6 to V8 swap is a 94/95 Mustang as the 5.0 parts are easy to attain and the V6 in those years, while still needing a lot of the parts listed, is partially setup more so than newer models to use the 5.0. Anything newer than that and you're looking at more parts and much, much, much more money.
