how come our cars shift roughly in the cold?
i've just been wondering... how come our stangs seem to shift harder int he colder weather than in the warm? i've been told to even double clutch, because it can get real rough sometimes. i know it's prolly a simple answer, but i figured i would ask. thanks! Erich.

i have that problem with 2nd gear only, it's always done that, unfortunately when i finally took it to Ford the weather warmed up and by the next winter i was out of warranty.
anyways it is annoying but i deal

change the fluid. it's either low or thick or both and combined with the cold makes it thicker and harder to shift.
double clutching does nothing as the trans is a syncronized trans
