I'm missing a few cats...
How many cats did the 01 mustang have? I just looked under mine and saw only one on each side...but I think I read that 01's are supposed to have four?
...I thought it was a little loud on cold startups..

Well technically we only have 2 cats... the front 2 are what they call "pre cats" and dont really do too much, so removing the rear cats will allow more air flow through the system, as opposed to taking the front 2 cats off.
of course call me out if im just an idiot

Kind of like saliva helps to start the digestion process when you eat. By itself it doesn't do much but it starts the whole process that takes place mainly in your stomach.

so derf.....in light of that last comment, do you think it would sound decent with MAC mufflers, and their catback system, for me to take out the rear cats, with MIL eliminators and run divorced pipes? or do you think i should do a crossover pipe. ive heard that with MAC mufflers it doesnt sound too hot without cats
