Default RE: 3.8 AIR pump help

She most likely has a cracked manifold on the passenger side right at the collector.
good stuff right there..... after yanking the upper half of the intake thinking i would see some sort of crossover piping in the back (which isnt there) i jack up the car, crawl underneith, and find that the entire pipe has broken free on the passenger side right past the first 02 sensor, where the collector pipe meets the first catalytic converter.

i ended up dropping the whole huge *** Y pipe assembly (btw, the 02 sensor plugs are about the hardest thing on the face of the planet to get to). took the pipe across the street and welded it back up with the neighbors mig.

back on the car, cleaned the MAF sensor for good measure, went ahead and replaced #1 plug with a copper core autolite, checked connection of all plus wires, checked out all the rubber and plastic lines that i could see. started her up and drove to the gas station and back, shut it off while i was there to let the computer cycle (??? if that even makes sense) and so far no codes.

i did notice that where the things are in the lower intake that let ex gas back into the runners were clogged almost closed, but as soon as i poked them the carbon broke free - like a superficial clog, not completely caked full.

FWIW whats the DPFE sensor, what does it look like, where is it located?

thanks for everyones input [8D]

The DPFE sensor is on the front passenger side of the intake manifold area. It's next to the EGR sensor. It's a little rectangular black plastic box with one electrical plug, 3 wire I believe, and 2 vacuum lines going to it. The 2 vacuum lines are coming off of the EGR tube.
