Trying to replace rear brake pads...please help!
I am replacing all the pads on my mustang, but the rear piston calibur does not go in with any force. Is there a trick to push the piston calibur back in? I had no problem with the front one, but the rear doesnt move.
thanks in advance, please reply ASAP as i have the wheels off as i speak.

you need to release the pressure from the brake lines(otherway , you are not gonna be able to push back the pistons)
-look on the rear calipers for a small bolt(that's the key)

The rear calipers are spin in type, not compression. You need to twist them clockwise with a pair of needlenose pliars (or buy the tool to do it from NAPA).

give the piston a good rap with a hammer then twist them in. tey will go it.
wearevers are Ferodo brakes. Advance sells them. they are about as good as any other cheap brake and won't have anything to do with the calipers not going in.
are you trying to turn them in with the E-brake set??? if so that's your problem

Just did mine. Use needlenosed pliers and turn them clockwise. But becare, watch the pliers. The left side was more stubborn for me and while I was turning the piston in the pliers slipped and stabbed by left hand. Hurt like hell too.

you gotta buy the tool to twist the piston on the caliper. compression won't work for you. i replaced mine a few months ago and not knowing about it i ended up buying the two calipers for it since i didnt have the time or tool to get it fixed. lesson learned after doing the job but yeah you need to twist it, not compress it.
