wowza. It's illegal to put an older engine into a new car, isn't it?

if the car has been sitting long enough for the car to rust out without starting it there is no way the engine and trans is fine.

the 351 shares the same bellhousing as the 3.8 but that is it. a tubular K-member would be needed along with custom made engine mounts. the trans i would guess is a C4. if it's a C6 then it won't fit in the stang trans tunnel without cutting the whole tunnel out and making a bigger tunnel.

a stock cleveland doesn't make much power for 1 thing. yes it has potential but good luck putting it in your stang and trying to pass emissions with it cause it will not ever get a federal exemption.

buy an old mustang II and drop the cleveland in it and don't even think about putting it in your stang. maybe $4000 later and it might just be able to fire up. not worth it

throw a supercharger on the 3.8 and never look back

Cleaveland... Ehhhh The trans is most lickley a FMX Tranny. What state do you live in? Im not a fan of the C myself, more of a W Guy... My 2000 Has a 650hp 351/C4. I kept it looking Just like a stock V6 except some tint and i bought... some muffler that made it sound like a nice little V6 with flowmasters. Then i got the electric cutouts for when i really wante dpeople to say, WTF. If you have another daily driver it will be fine

Thats very very illegal lol.

You can get a Windsor and make it a Clevor. There are aluminum head and intake kits on ebay for about $1500-ish.

I just happen to be looking for a Cleveland for the wifes 71' Mach1.
I might be interested if it runs and is a 4V.

Yeah... Very well illegal if you live in a ***** state. Ive got a 351C 4V From a 70 that runs great, 80k original miles, trans is shot tho. Also a 73 with FMX. Where are you at?? My cousin works at USF Holland and usually gets good prices

O yeah, my engine with my first set-up had stock CI heads and 500wheels. Shows what people can do to stock heads

You can run cleveland heads and intakes on Windsor 302/351 blocks, like the Cleveland headed Boss 302. But you cant turn a Windsor into a Cleveland, two completely different engine blocks.

this swap isnt worth the cost/trouble mang.
