Default What should I go with for my exhaust...

I am getting a new setup this tuesday, x-pipe to glasspack (2.5 pipe) for $175 but I know the guy. He let me hear his sisters mustang v6 with the same setup and it was amazing (for a v6) hopefully I am not disappointed. I will post some pics and a clip once I have them on and broken in a little

But do you think I will like the h-pipe better, he can do it for the same price. Also do you think I should just buy some force mufflers and have him put them on instead of glasspacks?

Here is what he is doing for $175:
Custom 2.5in X-Pipe
2 2.5 or 3in Glasspack

Please tell me what you think.

Glasspacks sound HORRIBLE on 3.8L mustangs.

What's the best/cheapest place to get some Force muffler or Flowmasters? He said it would be $275 for flowmasters w/turndowns

x pipe will give you a more exotic tone sorta like a lambo and h pipe will give you a more deep throaty tone like old school muscle
and increase back pressure a tad. and for the sound clip try youtube.com

I actually just found one here on the site but it did not specify if it was x or h pipe but sounded good. But I am going to trust the muffler guy since he has been doing this for almost 15 years or so and he is a pretty cool guy, I deliver pizza to him all the time and he has been telling me to stop by and $175 is to good of a price. The other muffler shop in town and to charge be $300 just to put on two flowmasters and this guy is making me a custom x-pipe w/ 2.5 tubing and the glasspacks so that's what I am going to do. I will post some pics and a video sometime next week.

BTW the clips I have seen seem like the glasspack throws out alot more backfire which I like LOL. [8D]

$175 for a mid pipe and cat back is really cheap. I would avoid typical "glass packs" though.

I actually already have two cats on and it has dual exhaust but they are like the el cheapo muffler thy the guy I bought it from had put on and they sound like total *** (he claimed they were flowmaster LMAO). I am not sure on the brand of glassapack I will find out and let you guys know tonight. I am going with the X-Pipe for sure though and he is making it 2.5 in tubing w/turndowns in front of the axle.

Honestly bro, I wouldn't go glasspack at all. That's going to sound like a steamin' bowl of ***.And also, the X pipe is mostly for V8's because of the odd firing engine. You should go H pipe or no pipe like I'm doing. I am getting my forces in a could of days but the install is going to be awhile. I'll post up the sound clip of them later.
