cobb is their common used tuner.
similar to our Diablos and SCTs, i think

why the alarm for discussion change to imports from the guy with the rather humongous picture of a Stealth/3000 GT (? correct me if i'm wrong)

Insurance varies with driver - so it could go either way on that.Saying a V6 purchase was a terrible idea is just our opinion - and not true at all. A V6 can be the right purchase for some.

And a mild mod split port V6 will beat an auto non PI V8. So be careful when using the "RAPE" term. And the S197 4.0L cars will out run the fox 5.0L.
we can[sm=happy046.gif]? can i get a second opinion before getting excited

Foxes stock will take aS197v6 but it would be close .

Sounds like you beat the driver. Not sure if you have an STi or WRX but IIRC all that COBB stuff is just "bolt-on" aka stock turbo. A 150 shot New Edge will ****ing destroy a stock turbo scoobie. I know someone with basically every bolt on you can get for the stock turbo, he's got an STi(like 03ish) and my first time out with the 100 shot I destroyed his best time he ever did. God forbid I run into him with the 125, or with your friends 150[8D]

i like the v6 gas mileage and sound but its not a v8 power and great sound with no gas mileage

I can get between 28-29 MPG on the highway around around 18 street driving. What do V6's get? Probably less. I'll take the V8 power and sound with their "no gas mileage". Newb. [sm=bustedsign.gif]

At least the NPI GT's can sound pretty decent. That is about the only thing they have going for them. lol

WE can sound decent also!
Semi-decent.

And non-pi's can sound damn good with the right exhaust set-up.

A Suburu, EVO, Skyline, RSX, as well as many other turbo I4s and I6s are not ricers IMO. A stock Civic with a big as wing.........yea.

A Mustang is not a mustang. REAL mustangs are I6 or V8. But the reason the mustang is still around is because people who just 'want a cute mustang' and a 'cheap car to put 20s on' and find some biznatches keep buying the V6 mustang. I hate the v6 mustang, and i hate that ford makes more 6 than they do8- but the 6 is the reason we8guys can enjoy our car.

Your friends 98GT makes a bitmore power than all the 96-97(by about 10 horses or so i believe) but he will still beat a 2007 V6. don't forget he has 300 lbs of TQ. thats a lotta launch power if he can drive, and even if he did somehow lose, his car will 'feel' faster because it's got a whopping 3.0.0 lbs of TQ.
You could of bought a edge GT, for a lot less, and had a lot faster car, with probably cheaper insurance. But who am i to make the decision- if you don't care about performance, and just want a cute little mustang to drive the girls around in, and look cool in- the V6 was an excellent choice
