I'd be inclined to ditch the factory cluster entirely, insert a flat-black aluminum panel in it's place, and mount some old-school hotrodder gauges to that panel -Autometer, VDO, or whatever, with appropriate senders affixed to the engine.

Actually, I'd be more inclined to supercharge the V6 I already had to avoid issues like gauge compatibility, or to sell the V6 car and buy something V8 powered.

Engine swaps are almost never simple, straightforward affairs. They're not often as cheap as people assume they're going to be, either.

Why not just sell the car that you aren't satisfied with and apply the money that would have went in to the swap toward the purchase of a V8 Mustang or some other V8 powered car?
got the car cheap and it is a nice car got a good 351w ready to go in just need to know how to make the fact. gages to work like that look or does someone have a good diagram of wiring got a Chilton man. but doesn't show what I need if someone can help thanks so much

You like the look of the stock gauges, and that's really why you want to keep them?

Phrases like "got the car cheap" and "got a good 351W ready to go in" suggest a different motivation for wanting to keep the stock gauges than one of aesthetic sensibility.

This is a pretty involved job if your not a mechanical, wizard. You'll need to ditch all the wiring harnesses. You'll need a low pressure fuel pump., regulator and a throttle cable out of an older fox body that originally had a carb. Change motor mounts. You'll need to change your ignition system. A v8 suspension will probably be needed. Honestly I did all the crap your talking about and your looking at a lot of time and more money than it's worth. And I started with a v8 car that will only be used at the track to begin with. Not to mention you'll never pass inspection if your state has it
