Default wierd shift problem

well i was driving home from my girlfriends house last night and it was like 1:30am and i had some open stetch on the freeway and i thought, why the hell not. so im shifting hard, roughly at 4500 or so and as im in 4th gear about to shift going like 80ish i shift into 5th and it felt like it didnt engage properly. i excelerated some more and it was acting like it was bogging sort of so i slowed to about 75 then acclerated some more and it was normal. My car has roughly96000 miles and could this be a sign i should look into a new clutch? or is it something else? this isnt the first time it has happened because this happened just the other night while i tried the same thing. Thanks guys.

well its time to change the clutch either way. but if it was the clutch it should do it no matter what gear you were in.does it ever grind when going into 5th or is it ever hard to shift into reverse?
