Default 335s for back tires: Too big for 04 V6?

A guy on Facebook offered that he was going to sell his 335 tires from his cobra. He said that I wouldn't be able to spin them though.

Is this too big of back tires?

Also with the tires I would receive black XXR 521 wheels for a 1k total price.

Should fit the car fine but your car prolly won't have enough oomph to break them loose, would look pretty good though. Would make for some pretty high rpm launches lol.

Is your car manual or auto?

Actually is this just for two? Cause there's a few sites you can get a full set of staggered wheels and tires for your car brand new for not much more than a grand. I'd look into that first.

With 335's wouldn't you have to roll the fenders?

It is an automatic 2004 v6. The 335s are just for the back as u know. He also has wheels for the front. Would the tires make the speedometer go wacko in any way? And I will ask him to go down to about what price would u say??

You don't want them.
You don't have the power to turn them, so you'll be slower.
If you want staggered rims/tires, find a new set of four for about that price. Don't go any wider than a 295 on a V6 unless you have some MAJOR power to need it. In fact, I've never gone wider than 295. If you are doing it to look faster - just remember that is the same thing Civics are doing with body kits, big wings and flashy stickers.

Although they may look bad ***, you will really feel the tires, in a bad way. That's a really wide tire and not only will you probably tear up your rear end (at least blow some seals), but it will also be rough on the rest of the drive train. You will definitely loose a lot of acceleration unless you regear the differential, and with 335's I can see 4:10s putting you back where you need to be as far as acceleration and relieving stress from the tranny. Someone correct me if I am wrong, but I don't see 3:73s taking care of it (I have them with 285's and would not go wider)

In the end it's your decision, and while it will look great, you have a lot of people giving you some awesome advice as far as what you will expect from getting them installed. And I will agree with everyone else on spending that 1k on a staggered package with reasonable tire sizes.

I've run 315's on 10.5's, and it's a big ole fat tire that finds ever groove in the road. I could spin em, but it was still too much tire.

And when should or could you get 335 tires? On cobra or what model of mustang?

On 18x9/10, I'd suggest either 265/35 and 295/35 or 255/35 and 285/35 for front/rear combinations.
