Default tire change

im in the market for new wheels and tires and wanted to know some opinions.

i want 18"s i think, also, wider than my stock tires, low profile. i've heard any more than 18" is not good for a mustang, plus, i dont think it would look good on a 98 to have any more. i have stock 15" right now.

im thinking about a chrome 5 spoke for the wheels.

how much gas mileage will i lose? also, which width should i go with? ive seen people with the wider recessed wheels on the back but I don't really like the look of that for a regular driving car, maybe for a track car.

any sn95's switch their stock wheels out? anybody have pictures?

Go 17"...when its time to get new tires, you will thank me.

17x9 all the way around with 275/40s would be nice. American Muscle has some good deals.

Those are '95 Cobra R's.

I agree with Matt... 17x9's all around, IMO.

Here is a pic of my current "star fish" wheels from an 01 GT. They are 17" with 245's all the way around.

You can also see my sig. I dont see any problem with 18" either, I was going to put 18" chrome billits but decided against it. Hope it helps

Also, here is some 18" wheels i was going to put on (and the reason why in last pic... lol)

I'm actually happier with what i have now. The only rim i would switch it for is chrome cobras.

I also like the 17" split 5 spoke on our SN95's.

Yeah, I guess your Cobra's previous owner switched them out.
