Default How dangerous is it?

How dangerous is it honestly to wear harness's with a harness bar on the street? The harness are DOT and FIA qualified, and i would be using them with a Corbeau Harness Bar. Any thoughts or ideas would be great. I got the harness's because i found a killer deal.

It's not dangerous, it's actually safer.

However, I'm not sure if it's legal, since rescue teams aren't trained to disconnect and remove them in the case of an accident where they need to get you out of the vehicle fast.

^^rescue teams usually cut them. no time to push that button and untangle your arm from the shoulder strap.

i wouldn't think there would be anything dangerous about it. If its safe enough to keep you protect you at 200mph i assume it would work at 70mph. it may be a bit uncomfortable and not very practical though.

4 point or 5 point?

as long as it's in spec, then you're running safer than stock, but you can't remove your stock seatbelts. And as someone who's done it, a harness is a pain in the *** at the drive through

I know harness's are SUPPOSED to attach to a cage, and there is pros and cons of the debate about bolting them to the rear seat bracket, but is corbeau's harness bar strong enough to protect 2 people in a crash?

I will hold, however b/c it's not DOT, it's the same as not wearing a belt if pulled over.
