they will fit on 17x8's but the contact patch isn't correct. the tread rolls over into the sidewall. i ran them before like that and they don't grip anybetter and wear funny. 17X9 is better but still not ideal for a 275

I'm running 245/45 right now for front and back just so I could rotate them and get more use, but 245s seem too wide in the front, under heavy breaking those tires try to pull out of the ruts in the road and move all over the place.

I run a 265/35 18 front for street use on an 18x9. I'd never go wider than that with my wheel offset. It would rub too much. On the track, I run 275/40 17 (17x9) all the way around.

My tires probably feel squirrelly because Colorado road suck so bad!

Have you heard much about Riken raptor ZR's?
