My only GUESSES are a bad quality tire, you ran over something hard and big, or improper inflation.

Ok *cracking knuckles*

The indention all the way around the tire is called "run-flat" it is where the sidewall of the tire is "chewed out" due to (extreme) low tire pressure. The "ripple effect" is because your sidewall is so comprimised that it is trying to blow out. If you were to take your tire off the rim, you would see your sidewall in a powder form due to being gradually rubbed off.

Any other questions just ask. Hopw this helps. That tire is FINISHED by the way..

sidewalls are shot. cords are busted. 30psi is not enough pressure. i'm sure if you look at the sidewall it will instruct you to either run 44psi or 51psi. that tire is junk now

the number on the tire is the MAX pressure the tire should be run at. it is not the pressure you should be running though. the decal in the drivers side door jam tells you what to run
granted you still have stock rims and tire sizes. Your tires will wear uneven if you just pump them up to the max also on long drive in the summer they will heat up and over inflate themselves
