The pros and cons of CAI has been dicussed to death. They are all the same in basic principles and lets not make this another fender vs engine bay war. The only diffrences in all CAIs is where the filiter is which determines how easy it is to clean/replace and looks. If you want to spend $100+ on a BBK or K&N go ahead, many do. But the americanmuscle.com one looks good to me and works just as well.

aboot this makes me smile mm either way idk to me the looks aren't amazing on our cars CAI wise and they don't help performance without major motor work so i don't see a point

Well i just wanted to treat her to something nice since her stock ones is old and falling apart and i've heard great things about K&N, I have C&L on mine but thats a different story.

Exhaust is another option: She wants duals and magnaflow brand, anything specifically that would work with her v6 without cutting the y pipe like i did with mine to put an x-pipe?

I think american muscle has one.

have a local exhaust shop weld in an H or X pipe with the mags, it will sound a lot better then a dual Y setup

for one mac is less priced, but K&n is known to last forever too.

her car has over 95k so it could use some royal treatment
it's a complete waste of money on 3.8's. getting a K&N for the stock air box and removing the silencer gives the same exact gains
