Gt Bumper Question
I just put on a GT rear bumper on my V6. The dual exhaust I have on there doesn't fit as close to the bumper as I would like. Is there any way to raise the the tips so they look better without cutting and welding new brackets?

I think you'll have to cut the brackets. Just take it to the muffler shop, they'll do it in 30 mins!

They didnt just add extending brackets to the duel exaust hangers that were already welded on? I know alot of shops will do that for you that way incase you descide to change the bumper or exaust they dont give you that nightmare. I dont know they exact name of them but they're just hangers that slide onto the pre-existing hangers and bolt onto the car.

I looked at bending them but they are pretty thick. I don't know if I can bend them
I didn't get the exhaust put on at a shop I put it on myself about a year ago and the only hangers that came with the system were solid not extending.

did you buy the GT hanger kit?
what cat-back do you have?
when one hanger backed out, I lost it while driving( I think I know where, I was only going 25mph) so I baught a metal pole the same diameter, cut it to length, and heated it up to bend it the same way was the other hanger I still had.
Dont think you can bend it without a tourch.

I had the same problem. I got new tips but after they welded the new ones in place and teacked the hanger rod on, I noticed they needed to be repositioned when i got home. Alll he did was cut the rod, push with force on the pipe so the tip was positioned right, then just rewelded the rods.
