Default How do I remove the door trim to replace a speaker???

My speaker blew out and I need to get to it to replace it. Whats the best way to get it out without screwing something up?

On a new edge, you have to remove the pod behind the mirror, it just pulls off. Then you need to pop out the window switch panel, and remove the phillips head screws that hold the window/door lock switch connector on. the power mirror connector just pulls out.it just lifts out. under that you will see some phillips head screws, take them out. on the front edge of the door by the hinge there is a trim plug you have to pull out, preferably using a trim tool(fork style) if you dont have that, you can use a pair of dykes, just don't cut it, it has to be pulled out and it is around 1.2 to 2" long. then in one motion lift up then out on the door panel, there are l shaped hooks on the panel.

seems like a lot, but very simple, maybe about 5 minutes.

I have found that if you unscrew the lock "soldier" about halfway and keep the door unlocked, it makes it a bit easier to fish through.
