Wink Cluster question...

Hey guys just a little curious what cluster would work for me? I have a 97 auto and the odometer is not digital. I was told that the cluster is somehow tied to the key, some kind of anti-theft and a new cluster wont work. Is this true? Also is there anyway to find out how many miles is on it since the odometer stopped working right after I bought it?

Thanks!!!

PS: For those of you that read my last thread, the rear end is infact a GT rear and I think it has the 3.73 gears gotta check to be sure. Come to find out the v6 does not put out enough power to spin both tires on dry roads. :P

Oh would a digital cluster work? Also what would need to be done if I got a GT cluster?

I don't believe a digital cluster will work because of the computer issues.

Ok well still did not answer my question, can I get a cluster from a junkyard? I just need to know if that will work or not. Again my odometer is busted and I need to get it working again, and is there anyway to find out how many true miles are on the car?
