I have an X-pipe and love the tone, not raspy at all. And if the X is built correctly it will give you the biggest power boost.

This is nearly exactly what mine sounds like, except it's a tad bit deeper because I have super 40s instead of regular 40s.....

Those sound even better IMO.. I probably will go with an H pipe now.

Not sure so some one correct me if I'm wrong please
Thanks for the information, im definetly learnin things now haha. And yo shaunmac i did what you said. Told him i was only interested in the longtubes and i'd offer him 200$ cash and to email me when he wants to sell it seperately. He gave in and said if i pick it up he'd throw in the Custom H pipe for 50$. Though i'm probably going to sell it and get an H pipe.

Thanks for all the info / advice you guys (not just the ones i quoted) are great !

Well I'm not positive about that but I think its right. And IMO the H pipe does sound better and see, $200 for the lt's and a custom H for 50 bucks, can't really beat that, but just make sure the h pipe fits well or else I would go with the MAC one. If you install it yourself some of the guys said their h pipes sagged a little so use a jack stand or something to lift it before bolting it up so it does sag. And stick around man you'll learn a ton, I have learned so much here, love it. and some stuff is just funny to rear lol

np man, and I would go flowmaster catback personally. I love the sound. Magnaflows are good too. But the MAC hpipe is like 160 so it's not tooo bad.

Yeh i was trying to go for flowmaster 40s. Is that different from the actual entire flowmaster catback? That comes with everything including H pipe? Or is that just the mufflers.

The longtube headers im getting from the guy are MAC, think its a good idea for me to mix and match brands?

Well your looking at MAC longtubes with a MAC h pipe so thats fine and I don't know how the mac gt catback sounds so I would go with a flowmaster catback designed for the gt. The hpipe sets your exhaust up so after the hpipe you can use almost any gt catback. You need to get the full catback the h pipe just basically connects the longtubes to the catback. So you need about 160 for the h pipe and the catback will probably be around 500 or so.

Mufflers, it doesn't matter, but It might be a good idea to get matching headers and mid pip just to ensure that they line up properly.

Mufflers matter, I've heard that flow through design mufflers like magnapacks don't sound good on our cars, plus some are louder/deeper than others.
