Default To anyone who is planning on getting the Duplicolor caliper paint...

It's great, I'm in the process of doing my fronts right now, BUT the brush they included sucks azz. So, buy like a quality 1/2" and 1" soft bristle (not plastic) brush from the hardware store or whatever. And lots of paint thinner. The ceramic paint is a bitch to get off when it dries even a lil bit. Other than that it's all good. Sorry if this is seems like a useless post, just thought I'd let everyone know.

I painted my calipers with the brush kit and had no issues, but then I've been painting my fingernails for years.

One tip I got from another member, get an old deck of cards and slide the cards under the caliper instead of trying to mask tape it off.

Pics when you finish!

Thanks for tip. The bristles kept on coming off my brush and into whatever I was painting + they were way too hard for my untalented painting skills. I actually ordered Mach 1 calipers so they aren't on the car right now, so all I had to do was take out the pads, take off the mounting bracket, take some duct tape and put on the inside of the caliper where the pads where & the bleeder & and line inlet, and paint away. I'm probably gonna do the rears on Friday (they are the stocks already on the car). I'll get some pics up this weekend.

I've never had any issues with the brush on set. Just make sure to completely let it cure and do at least 3 coats. I've always had spots that needed to be touched up on a 2nd coat, and the 3rd coat tends to smooth things out. I also suggest painting the brackets a dark grey, black looks wierd, but if you can get a grey that matches the metal finish, it will look really nice.

The bristles kept coming out of my brush too. Wasn't too bad, I think it ended up good.

I just bought the Duplicolor spray paint, cleaned my calipers and took them off and painted them when I changed my brake pads... Did about 3 coats and they look great
