no these are my new heads off my 4.2 that i picked up the other day for my 96.
The heads are pretty clean they pressuer checked them and sat them in the cleaning ****. there are not super clean but they are good for me because i couldnt see anything but oil nasty over everything.
The heads are very stock and the exhaste gasket is off my 2001 mustang (stock manifolds) frome when i went to the delk motor.

And you guys can bash delk but my motor is fine. there not over ported or under worked...I guess they didnt think it would be a good idea for someone to mess it up. i went pickit up at there shop and checked most of it there

I did a better job with carb cleaner and a toothbrush, I hope you didnt pay for that! :x

As for the size, thats how they are, I ported the hell out of my 00' heads on the exhaust port matching the entire exhaust chamber with a flattened or "D" shaped bottom.

I do NOT suggest port matching the exhaust gasket as that would be getting very very close to water jackets, as for how close, I dont know. Matching the exhaust chamber I didnt hit one and thats all you need, a restriction free path.

For the fuel rail you can use a Windstar fuel rail or a F-150 or E-150 fuel rail.

I used a windstar fuel rail myself and it worked fine. I must note though that the hole coming into the cap from the rail is much smaller than the 99-04 entrance and could be a restriction for even mild horsepower numbers.

Now you will need to clearance the drivers side of the front most part of the upper intake to allow enough clearance for the fuel pressure regulator. I had to take a lot off to make it work.

Another thing you can do is take a 99-04 splitport fuel rail (Mustang) and your 96' fuel rail and cut where you need make the return line and take the parts from the 96' of course and use silver braiser and a slip to connect the tubes.

There was a wright up or two around showing where to make the modifications.

For silver braising you need oxy acetylene instead of a torch and a few other tools.

There are a couple guys that will do it for your on a few of the different V6 forums for a small fee if you send them both fuel rails.

Well come to think of it I think the F-150 fuel rail I had was too tall and only good for parts, so stick to the Windstar fuel rail.

I know a guy selling one for about $30 if you want it.
