Default Fist time at the track with my new car/and old cars mods

Ok i took both of my cars up to the track last night.
96 stang with spilt-port 4.3
01 full bolt-ons with nos and better tune.

The 96 blew-up the rear-end or tanny on the line.I will not move at all but i cant tell just yet.I put my friends set 10" et drags on there. stock rear/stock tranny, clutch.all we know is something broke

the 01 did very well laying out low 14s with 50 shot nos.I will get sometime slips up asap.

Just get a GT/Mach1/Bullet rear or an 03/04 Cobra IRS if you want IRS. I dont know why you would want the shorter fox rear.

SRA will run you about $500 if you shop around
IRS will run upwards of $1200 from ebay from an 03/04 Cobra

You want the 03/04 because it is stronger and has 3.55 gears.

Good think it was the clutch, you might want to think about updating the whole drivetrain flywheel back.

Why get IRS? Its not meant for drag. I have a 1996 GT 8.8 rear for sale but I'm not really trying to ship it... =/

Dang, that sucks to hear about the clutch, thankfully it was something simple. I agree with the Spec, they make a great quality clutch, I know there is an issue with the bearing that comes with the Spec, but I'll be damned if I remember what it is, maybe another member will chime in and boost my memory.
