Default Shaker Systerm on V6...

Hi.. I just purchased a cold air intake (fenderwell mount) along with throttle body and whatnot.. Anyway i just saw this shaker setup for sale locally.. It has the hood and the intake piece that sits in the middle of the hood.. It also has a tub that comes just about 5 inches out from the hood piece. Just wondering how this mounts and whatnot.. I dont care if its functional.. I think it would look nice to have it for show... Plus maybe I could rig the nos purge kit to fire out of it.. thanks for any input.. here are some pics of it.. also maybe someone can throw some input.. on american muscle they claim that the shaker setup (i suppose if looking ot use functionally) can only be used on the 99-02 V6.. Why not 03 or 04?

I believe its got to do with the difference in the hood styles. But if you get that kit with the hood and all then you shouldnt have any problems with it bolting right up.

hmm.. the only thing that really concerns me is he is only asking for 150.00 buy it now... those setups go for like 800 on AmericanMuscle.com.. also just noticed he states its the Mach 1 setup.. Not the shaker.. guess i mixed it up... anyway with that in mind will i have any issues or does it sound good for 150? Like I said not really concerned if it will be functional.. just like the look

The mach 1 setup is basically the same thing as the shaker setup. If u could find the setup with the 03/04 mach1 hood then all ud have to do is bolt on the hood, bolt on the shaker thngy and ride. Without the mach 1 hood ul have to get the template, the shaker thngy, and go to a body shop and have them cut ur stock hood so that the shaker thngy wil fit i do believe.

Yea.. the guy lives like 30 minutes from my house and said he just wants 150 for it.. the hood is ok.. i like the shaker type setup.. the thing that i like with the hood is that i could wire the nitrous to shoot out those back vents.. since im gettin the blue led's that will light it up i figured it would look good..

03-04 V6's started coming out with the 99 Cobra reverse scoop hood, that's why they say that.
