Default Question About Headers...

Do headers really help a lot with an exhaust? Do they help deepin' the sound that much?

Do headers make more power?
Yes, in fact, anything that helps move air (and/or fuel) in and out of the engine- generates more power.

Do headers make the exhaust deeper?
While it may not make the exhaust sound deeper, it will certainly be louder. As a general rule, the less restriction the exhaust flow has- the louder the noise level becomes.

Longtube headders are the only ones worth spending money on. It does wonders for your sound, I guarntee some people will think you have a v8.

If you are going to get LTs just check the State exhaust laws to see if you have to have Cats or not...

longtubes and exhaust will give you a deeper, better sound. but check your state laws abvout emissions testing. there are no catted short mid-pipes in production for our cars, so you will need to have an O/R pipe modified with cats or have it completely custom built.

I live in St. Peters, MO and they are strict on emissions like that. I couldn't get longtubes because they cancel out the Cats. It's dumb...
