Default I have a Throttle Body Question...

Ok, the only serious mods to my car now are a cat back exhaust, just the regular ypipe. I also have a CAI installed too. I want to tune my car with an SCT tuner, so when I do that would it make sense to upgrade the throttle body? What will upgrading the throttle body do for me, any added performance, sound to the exhaust ??? Thanks so much!!!

Waste, spend the $300 on your exhaust, you'll be much happier. Since you already have the ypipe back tails you can get the mid pipes from the cats to new better mufflers fabbed up for $300 including mufflers. Throttle body is like 1-3rwhp if I'm not mistaken. There are better places to spend $300 imo.

Thanks, Kind of what I figured. I'm just going to put that money into something else. The mustang should be pretty good performance wise after next week when I get the T-loc and gears put in.

Yeah those will keep you happy for a little while I'm sure. Did you go 4.10's?

No gain from a throttle body. And you need to get rid of that y-pipe and put a real (X-Pipe, H-Pipe, or Divorced) exhaust in.

Yup I went for the 4.10's and a T-Loc. They should be put in this week.

Here is a product I've had my eye on but not sure if this will really
benefit or not. Also seems like the throttle body is a bit oversized, but
I'm not a pro on this stuff. Just comparing to what I see for sale
at other companies. http://www.rpmoutlet.com/musv6maccai.htm#3

May have made a goof in my last post. For some reason I was
reading Throttle body, but apparently the add says a 73mm mas air
meter. Still not sure of the claim or worth the cost.
