im going off memory here but last time i checked the schematic from the auto trans the neutral safety switch was only in the starting circuit there's a separate switch that i believe is connected in with the brake switch.

Much thanks, Problem solved!!! Replaced the brake light switch and the fuse associated with the Stop lamp switch in the fuse panel under the steering wheel....It was blown also.....Maybe from the loose wire unsure, but all systems are go and she is back on the road for now...

The 2002 v-6 seems to have an intermittent problem. The car won't start until you press the brake pedal down really hard. Any ideas what is going on?

Solved it. Fuses ok. It was a wire broken off the brake sensor.
