Hey , I just bought a 1995 Mustang. Its a V6 Automatic. 140,000 miles on it.

So the check engine light is on and the car seems to sometimes accelerate or maintain speed even when im not pressing the gas pedal.When I press the gas pedal I hear something, maybe a hiss.

This morning when it was acting up I pulled over and put it in park, the rpms when to like 2000 w/o me hitting the gas.

My dad said it may be a vaccum leak or something with the EGR Valve? My uncle said something about a carberatour.

I don't know much about cars,s o just trying to get a few ideas so I can know what to expect if I get a mechanic to work on it.

Well, your car doesn't even have a carb... soo, your dad may be a little bit closer.

Remove the IAC and clean it. But yea these cars dont have a carb.
