Flowmaster Super Flow 44 vs Flowmaster Original 40 Series Offset Muffler

They both cost the same but

I want that old signature classic muscle car sound.

which muffler is louder and better and which muffler would you prefer best?

neither will give you the "old signature classic muscle car sound." the v6 mustang will always have it's own unique sound, best is to work to make a unique sound of your own because you can't get the v8 sound with a v6. and IMO flowmasters suck on V6 stangs, personaly i think a full MAC system sounds the best but people say MAC drones, idk if it's true or not cause i got dumps so mine will always drone.

i have the 44 right now just a single exhaust setup but i'm switching to lt and everything here in a few months and still sticking with the 44.

with the single 44 it actually sounds pretty good i think specially when your in an enclosed area (a tunnel or something) where you can hear your car. its not the loudest thing in the world.. far from it, however it sounds pretty good i think. i dont know much about the 40 series though, sorry

hope this helps a little

Neo I dont know why you hate on flows so much. I love the sound of my original 40's with true duals. Sounds great until above 3,000rpm. I wouldn't pay $140 for them again though, I would probably get some thrush's. But I wan't to see how borla's and hushpowers sound on our cars too. Oh how I wish I had money.

i hate the flows cause above 3000 it goes to rice city. the MACs give my car more of a exotic sound than anything else and i love the fact that people can't tell wtf it is or whats done.

I got the Flowmaster 40's. I will NEVER buy them again. Sounds good at idle, but thats it. Gets ricey as the RPM's increase.
