Ok my wife has a 2001 mustang v6, so far we just put coldair on it...is there anything else we can do that won't cost a arm and leg to give it more power ?

automatic? If so get a tuner. Underdrive pullies wouldn't be a bad idea either. For a little more pep.

If its an auto you should also try the J-Mod and swap out the old valve body.

4.11 gears, posi unit, SCT Tuner, Aluminum driveshaft (Carbon fiber is best), UDP's and full exhaust with long tube headers and you will sound good and have some more get up and go.

^^x2...if you dont want to dish out the $$ for the full long tube exhaust then buy some headers from a 96-98 mustang v6. they flow way better than the 99-04 stock manifolds and do just as good as expensive shortie headers.

Depends on your definition of costing an arm and a leg. If it is an auto a tuner would be a good place to start, dual exhaust would be good also. if you give us an idea as to what you would consider affordable a better list can be made.

What kind of budget are you working with btw? 100 a week/month/few months?

You can work out a roadmap based on where you want to be and what is most important for you right now. That way you can follow the path to full bolt on glory in an orderly way.

No. Not BBK shorty headers. Long tubes or 94-98 if anything. Throttle body? Why? and Y pipe? Don't bother for that money.

To be honest I would just spend the extra money and go with straight thru exhaust. I put my whole exhaust together including the cost of the mufflers and install for $212.87....And it sounds so much better than any Y pipe could.
